Acrendo Software, Inc., a leading provider of electronic medical record (EMR) & medical practice management software, announced the release of A.I.med 9.0 slated for debut in Early Spring. Included in this new version are over 100 enhancements to existing functions and new features. A.I.med 9.0 will offer a patient portal, an iPhone app., multiple office locations, multiple windows open, larger screens & fonts, drag & drop appointments & notes, quick order sets, improved lab entry, and additional templates for over 18 specialties. Acrendo has also announced release of e-prescribing with version 9.0.

Included in this new version are features for integration of Quest and LabCorp e-Labs, Dragon Medical Dictation version 10, ERA payment processing, e-Eligibility through Gateway EDI, e-Statements, e-faxing in and out of the EMR, and enhancements to the super-bill to allow physicians to auto-bill directly from the EMR. Acrendo has also announced integration of e-prescribing with e-Prescribing due in late 2009.
